The Spectre of Today's Environmental Pollution—USA Brand: New Perspectives from an Old Scout

Pages 195-217 | Published online: 27 Dec 2007

Abstract

A comprehensive toxicologic evaluation of the potential human health hazards from man-made and natural environmental pollutants (except radiation) from air, water and food has been made to highlight the areas of greatest concern for health agencies in the U.S.A. The judgments are predicated on pollutant levels existing now or in the foreseeable future, and on the hereditary milieu of the population of the continental United States.
