Pentagram Configurations for Pentagons and Hexagons

Abstract

We prove the projective equivalence between a pentagon and its image via the pentagram map, respectively between a hexagon and its image via the square of the pentagram map.

ALEXANDRU TUPAN received his Ph.D. in mathematics from Johns Hopkins University. He is currently a professor of mathematics at the University of Wisconsin, River Falls. His mathematical interests are in the areas of algebra and geometry with an emphasis on number theory and arithmetic geometry.
