Abstract

The differential pulse polarography with preconcentration on hanging mercury drop electrode allows the determination of low levels of selenium. Electrochemical characteristics are discussed, including factors affecting the detection limit. The analytical measurements are realised at the maximum current of -65 mV versus the silver electrode reference. The effect of various metallic interferences on the determination is discussed.
