Spectrophotometric Methods for the Detemination of Glafenine in Tablets

Abstract

Two different methods were developed for the spectrophotometric determination of glafenine, either in its powder form or in tablet preparations. The methods utilize either p-chloranilic acid reagent (p-CA) or 2,3-dichloro 5,6-dicyano-p-benzoquinone reagent (DDQ). The sensitivity of the proposed procedures were discussed and the results obtained were compared with a reported method.
