Abstract
An exact controllability result for the linear advection equation in the space is proved for sufficiently large time T > 0, where X is a compact set with and as the smooth and disjoint inflow and outflow boundaries, respectively. The advection is governed by a smooth vector field giving rise to dynamics which advects material from Γ i to Γ o in time T 0.
