Inverse Problems is an emerging field of Applied and Computational Mathematics, for which researches are rapidly developed both in theories and applications. On the other hand, Integral Equations has been an important mathematical topic. Not only it has activated deep mathematical researches, but also it is one of the useful tools for differential equations, especially for solving Inverse Problems. This special issue focuses mainly on the integral equations and inverse problems. It is a selection from the invited and contribution talks in the 17th National Conference on Integral Equation and Boundary Value Problems with Applications, which was held in Nanning, China, from 16 July to 18 July 2016.

This special issue includes 11 articles. All articles are concerned with the theoretical/numerical analyses for integral equations and inverse problems.

The contents of this special issue contain:

(1)

Regularization Methods: Discretized Lavrent’ev regularization, fractional Tikhonov method, fast hybrid Galerkin Method.

(2)

Integral Equation and BVP for Partial Differential Equations: Singular integral equations, time-fractional diffusion equations, Helmholtz equations, auto-convolution equations, high-frequency acoustic scattering equations and Newtonian filtration equations.

(3)

Inverse Problems: Optimal parameter determination in textile engineering, inverse scattering problems and numerical inversion for thermal-fluid coupled model.

All articles are peer reviewed through the normal review process, and we accept these articles in this special issue.
