Abstract
A rapid electrometric method for the determination of butyrylcholinesterase and acetylcholinesterase in small capillary blood samples is applied to biocide workers. For comparison a semiquantitative method, Merckotest Cholinesterase, is used. Greater sensitivity to small changes in erythrocyte activity, as found in biocide workers, underlines the importance of use of this enzyme in surveillance.
