Abstract

Sixty-six human lung samples furnished by Houston hospitals were analyzed for lead content by atomic absorption spectrophotometry.

Using a computer program taken from SAS that performs a complete univariate and multivariate analysis, we found significant variations in lung lead concentrations by sex (P<.0007), occupation (P<.0152), and age (P<.0403). No significant variations were demonstrated with respect to place of residence or race.
