Abstract
Four Dillenian Confervae are described on the basis of authentic material. Three of them typify Linnaean species: Vaucheria fontinalis (L.) comb. nov., Vaucheria dichotoma (L.) Martius, and Vaucheria canalicularis (L.) comb. nov. One may typify Conferva frigida Roth, which should then be called Vaucheria frigida (Roth) C. Ag.
