Abstract
Syncrypta glomerifera sp. nov., isolated from a salt-marsh pool, occurs in both colonial and monad forms. Each cell is surrounded by monomorphic hollow ellipsoidal scales and bears two anterior flagella, the longer with two rows of mastigonemes, the shorter smooth. The taxonomic position of the organism is discussed.
