Abstract
1. Production traits in 4 commercial flocks were regressed on age or on a function of age.
2. Regression accounted for a significant proportion of the observed variation.
3. The regression equations, together with several constraints upon their application, were used to predict future performance which, in most cases, agreed well with the performance actually observed in the flocks.
