Summary

This paper draws on data from the Bradford After Sixteen survey to look at the destinations of girls after they reach statutory school leaving age. It examines interview data with girls in and out of employment, on YOP schemes, at school and at college. Finally, it looks briefly at the lack of explanatory models to understand the girls’ situation.
