Abstract
Domain configurations in PMNT76/24∼67/33 single crystals have been observed using polarizing microscopes. Unpoled PMNT76/24 crystals exhibit disordered cubic phases mixed with ferroelectric rhombohedral phases. With increasing PbTiO3 content from PMN to PMNT67/33, the crystals undergo change from microdomains, irregular macrodomains to regular macrodomains. On the other hand, the transformation from irregular to regular macrodomains can be induced by electric field, which is related to the direction of electric field. The polarization switching can be shown through domain configurations.
