Effects of MnO2 additive on dielectric properties and aging behavior of PNN biphasic ceramics

Abstract

The effects of added MnO2 on dielectric properties and aging behavior of PNN biphasic ceramics which meeting X7R specification was examined. The dielectric constant of PNN biphasic ceramics was decreased and the temperature dependence of dielectric constant was further improved by adding 0.02wt% MnO2. Dissipation factor was decreased and the electric resistivity was increased by adding small amount of MnO2 in PNN biphasic ceramics. The aging behavior of PNN biphasic ceramics was similar to that of typical relaxor ferroelectrics. The aging rates of PNN biphasic ceramics were increased by adding small amount of MnO2.
