Abstract
Potassium niobate ceramics substituted by the Ti and V ions are prepared and the dielectric, structural and vibrational properties are investigated. These substitutions didn't change the orthorhombic structure of pure potassium niobate. The Curie temperature has shifted to low temperature in the titanium substituted samples. The substitution of Ti ions on the Nb-site is evidenced in the Raman spectrum. Vanadium substituted samples exhibit a little variation of Curie temperature and V ions didn't substitute the Nb ions.
