Raman and Neutron Scattering Study of PbMg1/3Ta2/3O3 Relaxor Ferroelectric

Abstract

Raman light scattering and neutron scattering in the range of 20–295 K were studied in the relaxor ferroelectric of PbMg1/3Ta2/3O3. Anomalous temperature dependences of intensity of the Raman lines and of the neutron diffuse scattering were observed. Relation of these anomalies with the diffuse phase transition in PbMg1/3Ta2/3O3 is discussed.
