The paper reports investigations of structural properties, IR absorption, relative permittivity, pyroelectric coefficient and electrical conductivity of LaFeO3 substituted (Pb0.5Ba0.5)TiO3 ceramics.
The observations of XRD, show that the crystal structure is tetragonal. The variation of ϵ with T show a characteristic behavior of ferroelectric systems. Here the Curie point Tc decreases with increasing level of substitution. Further, the Curie Point does not change with frequency indicating absence of any significant relaxor contribution to the dielectric constant of the material. The substitution is observed to modify the electronic state of material significantly.
