Abstract
In this work, we have used the TSWM method (thermal square wave method at single-frequency) for determining the polarization profile of doped Sr 0.61 Ba 0.39 Nb 2 O 6 (SBN) crystals. In particular, Rh, Eu and Cr doping of SBN was studied in detail. It was shown that doping favors a more homogeneous polarization distribution. This was attributed either to the promotion of a more uniform poling by dopants or to a suppression of space charge formation near the surface.
