Phase Transitions of the Mixed System (Rb_1−xCs_x)₂MnI₄

Abstract

The mixed system (Rb _{1 − x} Cs _x ) ₂ MnI ₄ was synthesized over full range of x by Bridgman method and the phase transitional properties was investigated. The melting point T _m , α-β phase transition point T _α−β and dielectric peak temperature T _C of both Rb ₂ MnI ₄ and Cs ₂ MnI ₄ were obtained as the function of x. Obtained results were discussed in connection with supercooling of α−β phase transition.
