Abstract
(Pb 1 − x La x )Ti 1 − x/4 O 3 (PLTx) ceramics of perovskite type were prepared by sol-gel process, and their structural and dielectric properties investigated. Calcinations of the powders were done in the temperature range of 400–700°C. The obtained compounds crystallize, under heat treatment, at relatively low temperatures and no secondary phases have been observed on the corresponding XRD spectra. Dielectric measurements revealed the presence of anomalies in both ferroelectric and paraelecric domains. Results also show that these PLTx ceramics are ferroelectric relaxors.
