Disorientation Twin Angles for the Hexagonal–Orthorhombic Phase Transitions

Abstract

Orientation of compatible domain walls, magnitude of disorientation angles and shear angle of ferroelastic domain twins resulting from the hexagonal–orthorhombic phase transitions are discussed. Magnitude of shear angle is expressed using crystallographic unit-cell parameters of the low-symmetry phase.
