Abstract

In this paper, a novel antenna based on LTCC for UHF RFID tag is proposed. The antenna is constituted by the metal lines on surfaces of the first two layers of LTCC substrate. The uppermost layer with meander lines can effectively reduce the area, and the lower one adopts mesh structure to ensure both shielding effect and the quality of products. Testing results show that, at the operating frequency of 915 MHz, S 11 parameter and VSWR of the antenna are 14.71dB and 1.39, respectively. In addition, the antenna has advantages of omni-direction radiation pattern and easy impedance matching.
