Abstract

In order to improve the interphase compatibility of ceramic and polymer, titanate coupling agent NDZ101 is employed to treat the surface of ceramic. The permittivity, dielectric breakdown field, discharged energy of the composites with NDZ101-treated ceramics such as ST, BST50 and BT are investigated. Permittivity of the composites with NDZ101-treated ceramic is ∼25%–40% lower than that with untreated ceramic. Breakdown strength of the composites with NDZ101-treated ceramic is 2–3 times higher than that with untreated ceramic. Energy densities increase when ceramic is treated by titanate coupling agent. The energy density of the composites with NDZ101-treated BST50 ceramic could reach 6.0 J/cm3.
