Abstract
The paper presents the analysis of the cooling structure consisted of alternate electro- and piezocaloric layers. The temperature distribution in such a system under periodic electric and elastic fields is investigated. It is demonstrated that the simultaneous application of the external forces allows to increase the temperature difference at the outer surfaces of the system in 2–3 times compared with the operation by a single force. The obtained results can be used for design and optimization of a new generation of cooling devices.
