Computer Simulation of Phase Transitions and Orientational Order in Ferroelectric Films

Abstract

Ordering in ferroelectric film in external electrical fields was studied by means of variation method and Monte Carlo simulation. The temperatures of phase transitions “order-disorder” phase transitions on the surface and within the bulk of the film were calculated. The dependences of the real and imaginary parts of the dielectric susceptibility upon the frequency of the external field and temperature were calculated and analyzed.
