ABSTRACT

The paper presents a computer design of effective properties of microporous piezoceramic materials with fully metallized pore surfaces based on the simulation of the representative volume structure, the effective moduli method of the composite mechanics, and the finite element method. ANSYS finite element software was used to obtain numerical solution of the homogenization problems. To simulate the metallization on the boundaries of pores with piezoceramic matrix, the boundary conditions of free electrodes and elastic shell finite elements were used. The influence of the pore surface metallization on the values of effective moduli for microporous piezoceramics PZT-4 was investigated numerically.
