Microstructure and electric characteristics of Na0.5-xLa0.5+xCu3Ti4O12 ceramics prepared by sol-gel method

Abstract

The Na0.5-xLa0.5+xCu3Ti4O12 (x = 0.0, 0.1, 0.2, 0.3) ceramics were designed under the condition of unchanged the molar ratio of the component, and were prepared by the sol-gel method. The ceramics showed different microstructure and electrical behaviors with change of La3+ and Na+ content. The difference might be due to the different defect structure and charge compensation effect. Remarkably, when x = 0.1, the dielectric constant of Na0.5-xLa0.5+xCu3Ti4O12 ceramics was the highest, and that the second relaxation energy values were smaller than the first relaxation activation energy values, and the conduction activation energy showed a linear area, which were different from other ceramics.
