Abstract
The domain patterns, crystal structure, and electrical properties of 0.95(Bi0.5Na0.40K0.10)TiO3-0.05(Ba0.7Sr0.3)TiO3 ceramics were studied using solid state reaction technique with different sintering temperature. The samples are characterized using X-ray diffraction (XRD), ferroelectric and piezoelectric co-efficient (d33). X-ray diffraction patterns indicate that the sintered ceramics exhibit pure tetragonal phase. The ceramics also exhibits good performance with piezoelectric constant d33 = 128 pC/N, remnant polarization Pr = 3.71 μC/cm2 and coercive field Ec = 73.2 kV/cm−1. The highest polarization Pm is 6.04 μC/cm2 are shown at 1200 °C. The BNKT-BST ceramic is a promising candidate which can used in actuator and piezoelectric sensor applications.
