Structural relaxation in an amorphous phase of the thin-film nanogranular composite (x)Ni – (1–x)PNBZT

Pages 1-11 | Received 24 Sep 2019, Accepted 19 Feb 2020, Published online: 01 Jul 2020

Abstract

At the isothermal annealing below the crystallization temperature, dependences of the internal friction on time for the thin-film nanogranular composite consisting of crystalline nickel (Ni) and an amorphous material based on lead zirconate titanate [Pb0.81Sr0.04(Na0.5Bi0.5)0.15][(Zr0.575Ti0.425)]O3 have been studied. We have observed a relaxation in the amorphous phase of the composite. The structural relaxation studied is irreversible and thermally activated, and dependences of its parameters on temperature and the Ni content are discussed in terms of the model of stress relaxation in local regions of the amorphous material.
