Abstract

The purpose of this study was to explore the influence of mesoscopic geometry characteristics on milling force and temperature is revealed by establishing a theoretical model of the milling process. The cutting test platform is established to reveal the influence of cutting edge type and micro-texture parameters on the cutting performance of the ball-end milling cutter. The multi-objective optimization model of the cutting performance of the ball-end milling cutter is established. The micro-texture of the flank and the characteristic parameters of the blunt-round edge are optimized by a genetic algorithm.
