Abstract
The spin-polarized option of the multiple-scattering Xα method is used to determine the excitation energies of the allowed optical transitions in clusters representative of BaTiO3:Co Reimeika crystals. The experimental absorption spectra are reported and are discussed in the light of these theoretical results
