Abstract

All the gyration tensor components of Rb₂ZnBr₄ were measured by using the high accuracy universal polarimeter (HAUP). We found that only g₂₃ component appeared in the incommensurate phase, the other components always zero in the measured temperature range. Simultaneously we also revealed temperature dependences of birefringence.
