Pages 289-295 | Published online: 16 Mar 2011

Various experimental data have been analyzed to show that ferroelectricity (FE) is a contributing factor in the origin of high temperature superconductivity (HTSC) in metal oxides. A crystal chemistry approach to the problem of design and search for new (HTSC-FE)-compounds has been developed.
