Abstract

The electrostrictive strain as a function of temperature for PMN-17PT ceramics were examined driving by 1kv/mm electric field. At a certain temperature below Tc, a maximum electrostrictive strain was observed. TEM studies indicated that the maximum strain was believed to be caused by having large number of polar microdomains in the materials at the maximum strain temperature
