Structural organization of fullerenes C₆₀, C₇₀, C₈₄

Abstract

An overview is given of structural organization of fullerene crystals of C₆₀, C₇₀, C₈₄, including the phases taking place at lower temperature when molecules order. Recently, evidences were obtained for a phase transition in C₈₄ and for a metastability of phases in C₇₀ A particular attention is paid to the symmetry properties of phases and to mesoscopic structures due to domains, domain walls, and other extended defects in these materials.
