Modelling Secondary Current Distribution in Electrodeposition Cells with the Probabilistic Method. Part 1–Theoretical Development

Pages 83-87 | Published online: 08 May 2017

SUMMARY

Probability conditions at the electrode boundaries are formulated in terms of a dimensionless group (Wagner Number) to directly enable the influence of solution conductivity and electrode polarization to be taken into account in the determination of current distribution using the probabilistic method. Results obtained using the method to determine secondary current distribution for non uniform electrode geometries are compared to those obtained using a boundary element method.
