SUMMARY

The significance and importance of solution conductivity for electrodeposition solutions and their efficient use are discussed. The dearth of reliable data is revealed and a collation of available data is provided for the commoner metals and solutions.

G. Guvendik

Gokhan Guvendik is a graduate of Istanbul Technical University who spent 1996–97 at Loughborough University working with Professor Gabe. After returning to Turkey he is now working for Signode Turkey (which is a group member of ITW, USA) on packaging industry sales.

D.R. Gabe

Professor David R. Gabe is Professor of Materials Engineering at Loughborough University. Formerly at British Steel Co. and Sheffield University he was President of the Institute in 1995–97. He is author of numerous papers in surface finishing and was awarded the Scientific Achievement Award of the American Electroplating and Surface Finishing Society in 1995 for his contributions to the field.
