Theoretical and numerical study of a skeletal muscle regeneration model with inflammatory response

Abstract

A mathematical model of skeletal muscle regeneration for immune-muscular cell interactions with a pro-inflammatory mediator is introduced and analyzed. The model is a multi-scale problem with discontinuities and numerically stiff. Thus, a nonstandard parametric stability analysis of the equilibria is carried out in order to investigate the potential muscular regeneration and the inflammation resolution.
