Variable transformation methods and their use in general and singular quadratures

Abstract

Some less common transformation methods for general and singular quadratures are considered. Efficient methods for computing the transformations themselves are given as these are no longer standard functions and extensive tests are carried out. One object is to investigate whether transformations which yield high order methods with the trapezium rule have advantages over conventional methods
