Abstract

Two new expressions related to Wallis's formula for π are obtained using methods of the calculus. When truncated, one of these expressions yields upper while the second results in lower bounds for π. Additionally these expressions involve ratios of irrationals which makes them more quickly convergent than Wallis's formula.
