On the efficient solution of the steady, two-dimensional shallow water equations

Abstract

An efficient numerical scheme is developed for the two-dimensional shallow water equations in steady. supercritical flow. The scheme incorporates space-marching as a result of the assumption that the flow is wholly supercritical in at least one space dimension. Special averages of the flow variables are chosen 1 <> improve the computational efficiency.
