On the modified preconditioned simultaneous displacement (m-psd) method

Abstract

In this paper, we derive a new functional equation which relates the eigenvalues of a weakly cyclic matrix of index p block Jacobi iteration matrix to the eigenvalues of its associated Modified Preconditioned Simultaneous Displacement (M-PSD) iteration matrix. The convergence bound is established for the M-PSD method when coefficient matrix A is a p-cyclic.
