Abstract
A new method is proposed for the synthesis of variable frequency sinusoidal oscillators SRCO which are canonical with respect to their passive elements. The theoretical scheme can be implemented with various active elements which were chosen in order to achieve some given characteristics required for the whole electronic structure. Several of the most significant reported oscillating structures are revised, showing that they follow the scheme presented here. Developing this new approach and testing its efficiency are the aims of this work. Two new structures are deduced to justify the suitability of the method. Experimental results for these two structures confirm their correct performance.
