ABSTRACT
The instantaneous power of 1- solar photovoltaic system comprising of high-gain DC-DC converter and 1-
photovoltaic inverter has a twice line frequency that creates the undesirable second order harmonic current. This paper provides topological changes in both DC-DC converter and DC-AC inverter to mitigate the undesirable second-order harmonic current. Re-boost converter is used instead of boost converter, and power decoupling-based 1-
inverter is used for the inverter purpose. To provide adequate DC-link voltage, standard maximum power point tracking scheme is used. To control the output of inverter, fixed-frequency sliding mode controller is used that provides better response in steady state as well as transient state conditions.
