Editor’s Note

This research review is by Cameron T. Alldredge and Gary M. Burlingame. Mr. Alldredge is a graduate student in the Clinical Psychology doctoral program at Brigham Young University (BYU). He is currently involved in research regarding group psychotherapy and compassion-focused therapy. Dr. Burlingame is Professor and Chair of the Psychology Department at Brigham Young University, and is a former President of the Society of Group Psychology and Group Psychotherapy (Division 49) of the American Psychological Association. He is also President-Elect of the American Group Psychotherapy Association, and founded the Consortium for Group Research and Practice (C-GRP) at BYU with Dr. Robert Gleave. Dr. Burlingame supplements his teaching and leadership through extensive participation in group psychotherapy research.
