Working at the biology/mathematics interface: mathematical modelling and sixth form biology

Abstract

This article reviews the literature on some of the current thinking about the interface between mathematics and biology at A Level. A plea for an increased use of applied mathematical modelling in relation to advanced biology in schools is made, and methods of effecting this linked to computer use are discussed.
