Abstract
Two formats have been designed for data collection and analysis for a shipyard's production system. Results of the statistical analysis can be used for layout design, production planning and scheduling of assembly areas. The data base systems described here are capable of providing information which can be used for investigation of possible group production methods in shipbuilding. The formats also provide data usable for simulation of assembly areas.
