Abstract
A heuristic procedure to minimize changeovers of component tapes on sequencers while manufacturing printed circuit packs (PCP) is presented. The suggested approach first groups similar components and PCPs together and then applies an efficient method for scheduling components and PCPs on the sequencers. It demonstrates considerable improvement over the solution procedures presently available in the literature.
