ABSTRACT
In this paper, the problem of H2 and H∞ mixed switching control of uncertain discrete switched systems with time delay is considered via a switching signal design. New Lyapunov functional and Wirtinger inequality are used to guarantee the mixed performance for discrete switched time-delay system. The number of using LMI variables is less than our past proposed approach. Finally, a numerical example is illustrated to show the improvement of the developed results.

Chang-Hua Lien
Chang-Hua Lien was born in Yunlin, Taiwan, R.O.C., in 1969. He received the B.S. degree in 1993 and Ph.D. degree in 1998 from National Taiwan Ocean University and National Sun Yat-sen University, respectively. From 2000 to 2001 and 2001 to 2006, he was with Department of Electrical Engineering, Tung-Fang Institute of Technology and I-Shou University, respectively. In 2006, he joined the Department of Marine Engineering, National Kaohsiung Marine University, Taiwan, where he is currently a Full Professor and Dean of Maritime College of National Kaohsiung University of Science and Technology. His main research interests include fuzzy control theory, neural networks, robust control and time-delay systems.
Ker-Wei Yu
Ker-Wei Yu was born in Pingtung, Taiwan, R.O.C., in 1965. He received the M.S. degree in marine engineering from the National Taiwan Ocean University, Keelung, Taiwan, R.O.C., in 1991 and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the National Sun Yat-sen University, Kaohsiung, Taiwan, R.O.C., in 1999. Since August 2000, he had been with the National Kaohsiung Marine University, Kaohsiung, Taiwan, R.O.C., where he is currently a Full Professor of Department of Marine Engineering and vice president of National Kaohsiung University of Science and Technology. He won the Under-Water Technical Award in 2005 from the Chinese Ocean & Underwater Technology Association. His current research interests are in the areas of fuzzy systems, neural networks, intelligent control and ship manoeuvring control. Dr Yu is a member of the IEEE Automatic Control Society. He is also a member of Chinese Automatic Control Society.
Hao-Chin Chang
Hao-Chin Chang was born in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, R.O.C., in 1987. He received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in marine engineering from National Kaohsiung Marine University, Taiwan, China in 2009 and 2011, respectively. He received Ph.D. degree from the Institute of Engineering Science and Technology, National Kaohsiung First University of Science and Technology, Taiwan, R.O.C., in 2015. His research interests include artificial intelligence and applications of multiobjective optimisation genetic algorithms.
