Abstract
The advantages of the estuarine environment as a subject for study at A-level are discussed. Details and references regarding a variety of suitable techniques are provided along with examples of results obtained by students of Waltham Forest College while involved in project work on Fenn Creek, Essex. Aspects of the organisation of such work are mentioned and the benefits to students in volved a re disc ussed.
